Tech Review: Loftek Power Bank two-in-one LED flashlight and phone charger(With Photos)

If you’re looking for a compact spare battery for your smartphone that also come with internal Cree Q5WD high power LED flashlight, then look no further. The Power Bank, made by Loftek, might just be the best solution for you.

 

 

The Power Bank consists of a D27*150mm black painted aluminum cylindrical housing with a weight of 245g. The battery capacity is 2600mAh with an output of 5v/1A from a full-sized USB port. The Power Bank is charged via a built in female micro USB port. In my testing, I found that the Power Bank took 4.5-5 hours to charge when used with the included 5v/1A USB wall plug when fully discharged. The included USB charging cable is quite the little transformer. It’s capable of charging an Apple IOS device as well as any device with a micro USB port.

                                   

                            

 

In my charging tests I ran my iPhone 4S down all the way until it shut off completely and was unable to start up. I then plugged my iPhone into the fully charged Power Bank using the included USB cable. With minimal usage of the iPhone while charging, the iPhone was able to charge up to 87% in 2.5 hours. I found these results to be more then acceptable for such a small device.

Loftek states that the Power Bank LED flashlight is capable of running for more then 9 hours continuously. I did not personally test this aspect of the device. However, considering it was able to recharge a fully dead iPhone 4S up to 87%, I think their 9-hour flashlight battery life is probably close to the mark.
                                   

Here's the other gossip. The device itself come with 3 Models:HIGH/LOW/SOS.Which I think is a big bright spot.The SOS Mode gives out twinkling red circle light with 161 Lumens and 200 Meters Beam Distance!That can really save people's lives in dangerous situation and easy to be noticed.Take the LED running time and Samsung 18650 Lion inside battery into consideration,out of power should not be an issue to worry.Or you can simply use it to charge any phone or device that can used to contact others for help through message,call or even send out emergency signal. I do love this part!

           

With all things considered, the Power Bank is quite a versatile device. The ability to charge a dead iPhone up to nearly full as well has have a 1W LED flashlight all crammed into a package (that is not any bigger than your average pocket flashlight) is an amazing feat. If you want to have an emergency backup flashlight/phone battery and you don’t mind dropping a Benjamin then the Loftek Power Bank might be exactly what you need.
